The wealthier nations such as Canada and the United States should both help ease the suffering of the worlds poorest people despite our debts. it is important for wealthier countries have a prominent role in helping the global society, especially because aiding other countries builds positive relationships for the countries in the future. Rather than just donating money to the countries that may or may not be eaten up by corrupt governments, countries should go into poor ones and help build and give education. Education is key to ending poverty in my opinion because it creates opportunities for jobs. Since wealthier countries also have more power and influence in the world they should fight against corrupt governments. Wealthier people who have the ability to donate to poorer countries and charities should do so unless they can donate their time because time is more important.
I agree that any country that is wealthy enough or has a numerous amount of unused resources should be given away to places that need it. For example, if extra school supplies are made but not needed, they should be automatically shipped for charity and not given to a overstock warehouse in North America were we can get good deals.
ReplyDeleteI agree that wealthier nations should help ease the suffering for sure! Money is not always the best thing to give when helping a country in need, sometimes education and economic aid would benefit a country more in the long run!
